Shipping Update – 04.09.21 Progress

Happy Friday Trusty Backers!

Great news! Today I got word that customs released my 8 pallets and they are on their way to me! They are scheduled to arrive at my warehouse Monday morning!!!!

So what does that mean and when will shipping start?

Things have changed a little bit since I first launched this Kickstarter. In January I started working for Infinite Black (you may know them from the amazing Elder Dice) which means I will be packing orders before & after work. So I'll be slowed down a little bit, but luckily my warehouse is only about 10 minutes from my house.

Another factor is that my wife and I both get our second Moderna vaccine on Sunday. Fingers crossed we don't have a bad reaction and that I can start packing orders Monday night. But some folks I know have had flu-like symptoms for a couple of days. There is a chance this could slow me down.

Lastly, if you ordered one of the complete sets in the Mimic boxes they may be delayed slightly. I have to take photos of the boxes with new labels on them to send to customs and get their approval before I can mail any of them to you. The stickers are already printed and ready to go, so I am hoping their approval process is fast. There is however a chance that they will want to come to my warehouse and inspect the packages before I am allowed to mail them.

I will update you all after work on Monday once I have all the squeezes!!! Have a great weekend!

Minor Shipping Update – 04.07.21
2 months ago – Thu, Apr 08, 2021 at 01:39:20 PM

Hello trusty backers,

I wasn't sure if this warranted a KS update, but I have a little more news. There was a mix-up with the email going from the Customs Agent to my Customs Broker. The agent had thought they sent an email about a week and a half ago, but they have been having email problems. So the email never went to the Broker and in turn, never went to me. These kinds of things happen and are beyond anyone's control. I have now responded to a question/request from that email and am waiting to hear back.

Do you want micro-updates like this? Or would you prefer to wait until I have bigger news?

As always, thanks for supporting this project.

Shipping Update – 04.03.21

Hello trusty backers. Sadly  I have nothing new to report this week. I've been reaching out regularly to my customs broker. This is the response I received earlier in the week "There is nothing new to report. Customs has everything in hand and we are waiting on their next move."

Fingers crossed something happens next week.

Customs Update – 03.28.21
3 months ago – Mon, Mar 29, 2021 at 01:01:42 AM

Hello Trusty Backers,

It's been about a week since the last update. I've been communicating back & forth with the US Customs Agent (through my Customs Broker) for the past few days. The issue currently seems to be the Mimic Boxes that have the loose squeezes inside of them.

It is 100% my fault that they have not been released. I did not print any legal info on the Mimic Boxes because I did not think of it. When making those boxes, I just thought of them as fun boxes and not as something that would have anything in them when sold in a store.

I did however include an empty series box that has all of that information inside the Mimic Box, but I was told that is not enough.  I have sent over some ideas on how I could resolve the issue, but have not heard back yet.

I just wanted to keep you informed about what is going on. Maybe one of you will run a Kickstarter and learn from my hiccups :)

At the moment I am at the mercy of the customs agent. Hopefully, they will like one of my ideas and we will see some progress next week.

Thank you,

Brian
